About Windsor Pizza
One place for everything Windsor pizza — built in Windsor, by a Windsorite, because nobody else had done it.
Why this site exists
Windsor is one of the only cities in Canada with a pizza style named after it, and Windsor-Essex has more than 200 places making pizza — from the family shops that invented the Windsor-style pie in the 1950s and 60s to wood-fired newcomers, brewpubs and winery kitchens out in the county. Yet until now there was no single place that listed all of them. You had to piece it together from search results, out-of-date review sites and word of mouth.
WindsorPizza.ca fixes that. Every pizza place in Windsor, Tecumseh, LaSalle, Amherstburg, Essex, Kingsville, Leamington and Lakeshore is here, on one map, with its own page. Claimed listings add the details that matter — hours, menu, photos, the right phone number — straight from the owner.
Who is behind it
The guide is published by Windsor Pizza Media, a Windsor company founded by a lifelong Windsorite who has been eating this city’s pizza since before he could pronounce “pepperoni”. It is not a national directory with a Windsor tab, and it is not run from Toronto. It is a local project by someone who has an opinion on shredded pepperoni versus sliced, knows which shops have moved and which have closed, and wanted the rest of the city and its visitors to have one reliable place to look.
How we work
- Every pizzeria is listed for free. A shop does not have to pay to be in the guide. Owners can claim their listing to add details and appear in colour on the map.
- We do not take a cut of anything. There is no online ordering here and no commission — we send you to the pizzeria, not the other way round.
- Sponsors are labelled. Advertising on the site is clearly marked “Sponsored”, and pizzerias are never shown a competitor’s ad on their own page.
- Facts come from the source. Addresses are checked against the shops themselves; when we say “most searched” we are quoting real search data; when we do not know something, the page says so.
- Corrections are welcome. Closed, moved, wrong number? Tell us and it is fixed.
