Naples Pizza – Tilbury
- June 28, 2026
Arcata Pizzeria has been family owned and operated in South Windsor since the early 1950s, three generations and counting, which makes it one of the very few Windsor pizzerias that predates Volcano’s famous shredded pepperoni. One shop on Dougall Avenue, no franchising, and a slogan of “Quality at the right price.”
Arcata makes the old Windsor recipe the way it was made before the chains scaled it up, with ingredients bought locally and made in-house. Beyond the classic pepperoni-and-mushroom pie the shop has added gourmet creations such as a prosciutto and cherry tomato pizza, a breakfast pizza and heart-shaped pizzas for special occasions, and it will make custom pizzas on request. Our Windsor-style pizza guide explains the style.
Arcata is the independent regulars bring up when they want to sound like they know the city, and it appears in both our best pizza in Windsor ranking and our Windsor-style guide. The Amy Croft Drive location in Lakeshore has closed; Dougall Avenue is the one and only.
Arcata delivers and caters. Hours run Sunday to Thursday 10am to 11pm and Friday and Saturday to midnight. Arcata T-shirts are sold in store.
