The Original Franco’s Pizzeria

Franco’s has been making pizza in Windsor since 1958, when the Donato family started what is now The Original Franco’s on Tecumseh Road East. Franco’s East carries the same “making pizza since 1958” badge from its Lauzon Road shop and its LaSalle location, and the “Original” in the name is a point of pride.

What to order at Franco’s

The Super Special (cheese, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, green peppers) is the Windsor order. For a crowd, Franco’s East sells rectangles that go far beyond a standard large: the 16-by-23-inch Terminator (28 pieces) and the 18-by-25-inch King (32 pieces). Panzerotti come baked or fried, there is a 6-ounce Mega Burger, halal pepperoni and beef sausage are available, and the Windsor East shop does gyros. The Original Franco’s also has a full Italian menu; chicken parmigiana, alfredo and lasagna are its best sellers on delivery apps. See what makes Windsor-style pizza different.
